The Asian Festival
The Festival is an opportunity for our community to come together and share our cultural heritage with the Worcester Community at large.
We are planning an exciting afternoon full of dance performances, colorful costumes, music and food from many Asian countries. Additionally, we will offer valuable information on health education and hold a free medical screening program for all those interested.
The Asian Community
The following Asian countries are involved with organizing this event: Bhutanese, Burmese, Cambodian, Chinese, Hmong, Indian, Japanese, Korean, Laos, Nepalese, Philippine, Thai and Vietnamese.
How to participate
To take part in the Festival as a performer, volunteer or become a sponsor by filling out the appropriate form.

Scholarship recognition
Each year the Asian Festival awards four scholarship applications. The application can be found at the forms tab. This year the scholarship was awwarded to Joshan Niroula, Kristen Nguyen, Mimi Nguyen, Ada Yang and Steve Chungyuk Takahashi.

The Moon Festival
This is an event for families and their children, which is open to the entire community and is free of charge. There will be community resource tables, face painting, free lanterns for children 13 and under and free moon cakes for all attendants to taste.
We will have performances from martial artists, break dancers and the Lion Dancers. And of course the Traditional Lantern Parade.
The celebration of the Moon Festival, which traditionally falls on a full moon, symbolizes the completion of the harvest season.
The Festival is held under the full moon, representing the fullness and prosperity of life. This year the harvest moon falls on the night of
September 8-9.
